A fully updated Toyota GR Yaris was revealed recently at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon with the name Yaris GRMN . The car has undergone some special operations by the performance department to suit the lucky 500 Japanese buyers.
Alongside the 2022 Yaris GRMN , we also wittnesed the apperance of GR GT3 and bZ4X GR Sport.
Toyota made sure to increase the number of strikking elements to attract more customers, for the car no longer has back seats, which made the car lighter in weight, and they were replaced with stabilizer bars. And in the front, Recaro bucket seats were installed.
Underneath the carbon fiber hood, we will find a turbocharged 3 cylinder 1.6-liter engine with the ability to deliver 268 hp and 390 Nm of torque, it also features a mechanical limited-slip differential. It is worth mentioning that all variants are connected to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 2022 Toyota Yaris GRMN is optioned with a Circuit Package and a Rally Package, moreover, the Circuit Package includes the following:
- 18-inch wheels from BBS
- Enlarged brakes
- Bilstein adjustable shocks
- Carbon fiber rear wing
- Sporty looking side skirts
- Matte Steel paint finish
- 20 KG lighter than the base GR Yaris
As for the Rally Package, it consists of the new Toyota shocks and stabilizer bars, and the car will be 30 KG lighter than the GR Yaris.
The 2022 Toyota Yaris GRMN will be offered with a starting price from 7,317,000 yen, as for the additional packages, the prices will increase as follows:
- Circuit Package: 8,467,000 yen
- Rally Package: 8,378,764 yen
And just like the 2023 Nissan Z Fairlady, the Yaris GRMN will be sold through a lottery.
